Being a Bristol based web design and development agency we are pretty proud of Bristol and its achievements, events and culture. This year the annual balloon fiesta is celebrating 40 years of the iconic event that takes place each year, completely free of charge to attend.
The event is the largest meeting of hot-air balloons in Europe, each year more than 130 hot air balloons from various countries across the world take part in the fiesta. Held in the stunning Ashton Court Estate, the completely free event attracts thousands of visitors over the four day long event. Some of the team from eckhoMedia will certainly be there showing their support for the event and enjoying the atmosphere and sight of the hot air balloons, whether they stay tethered or take to the skies over Bristol.
Started back in 1978 the Bristol Balloon Fiesta will celebrate its 40th birthday with 40 different shaped hot air balloons which will be tethered during each day of the popular event which this years is happening between the 9th and 12th of August. Each year various events take place all over Bristol but the balloon fiesta is one of our favourite events.

The most iconic part of the balloon fiesta are the popular nightglows that take place on Thursday and Saturday evenings, a range of hot air balloons tether to the ground and light up in the darkness of the night sky to create a stunning light show made possible by the burners all timed perfectly to background music, the evening then ends with a superb firework finale.
